Brave Florida Woman Defends Herself Against Carjackers

In a shocking turn of events, Louise Ornduff and her son Kalaeb found themselves in a dangerous situation when they arrived at the Bank of America parking lot in Clearwater, Florida. What was supposed to be a simple meeting to discuss the sale of their Nissan Rogue turned into a terrifying carjacking attempt.

Two armed men, later identified as 18-year-old Lasupta Singletary and 17-year-old Jernalen Dreshaw Coleman, had been lying in wait. Instead of showing interest in buying the vehicle as they claimed, they demanded the keys, intending to steal it. Faced with a life-threatening situation, Kalaeb made the wise decision to surrender the keys in order to protect himself and his mother.

As the carjackers sped away with their stolen car, Louise Ornduff made a desperate and courageous move. She drew her weapon and fired a single shot, striking Singletary. Tragically, Singletary lost his life as Coleman continued to flee the scene. Coleman later dropped off his fatally wounded accomplice at a nearby hospital, where Singletary was pronounced dead.

The police wasted no time in investigating the carjacking incident. It was determined that Singletary’s death was a direct result of the crime he was committing, leading to a second-degree murder charge for Coleman, along with armed robbery. This decision was backed by the evidence, including surveillance videos and witness testimonies.

The brave actions of Louise Ornduff garnered attention and sparked a conversation on social media. Many people expressed their support for her decision to defend herself and her son.

One Facebook user commented, “She was right in what she did and had to, I would have done the same thing had I been in her shoes. The police and courts should back her up and not take the defense of these criminals. Let’s help the police clean up the streets against crime.”

Another user expressed their thoughts on the situation, saying, “Everyone knows that the relatives of those two will say that they were good boys. They will probably say that they needed to steal the car to sell it to afford to live. Just wait until the b.s. starts. I personally think that they both got what they deserved. Too bad for them.”

It is important to remember that carjacking incidents like this can happen to anyone, at any time. The outcome of this particular case serves as a reminder that self-defense should always be an option when faced with a life-threatening situation.
