Once upon a time, a curious little girl eagerly approached her mother. With excitement in her voice, she exclaimed, “Mummy, when you were away at work, a strange lady came around!” Here comes her chance to share her fascinating discovery with her mother. However, her mother interrupted and replied, “Not now, my dear. Let’s wait until Daddy gets home.”
Time went by slowly as the little girl and her mother patiently awaited Daddy’s arrival. Finally, the moment they had been waiting for arrived. With an air of anticipation, the little girl’s mother turned to her and said, “Now, dear, what were you saying about Daddy and the strange lady?”
Before Daddy could utter a word, the mother swiftly silenced him. “You keep quiet for now, darling. I’ll be talking to my attorney in the morning. Carry on, my sweet girl. Tell me everything.”
With a twinkle in her eye, the little girl began her thrilling tale. “Well, Mummy,” she started, “Daddy told me to stay downstairs while they went upstairs, but I couldn’t resist following them without Daddy noticing me. I sneaked up and saw them hugging and kissing at the top of the stairs.”
Her mother responded with a mix of curiosity and admiration. “Clever girl,” she purred. “What else were you able to see through the keyhole?”
Unfazed by her mother’s question, the little girl continued, “I saw them hugging and kissing some more, and then they started to take each other’s clothes off. They carried on until they had nothing on, and then the lady got on the bed, and Daddy got on top of her.”
Eagerly awaiting the next installment of the story, the mother asked, “Yes? And then what happened?”
Undoubtedly and with an air of confidence, the little girl replied, “Then they did what you and Uncle Jack did when Daddy was in Vancouver last year!”
And with that innocent yet surprising revelation, laughter filled the room. The little girl’s keen observation had uncovered more than she could have ever imagined, bringing joy and amusement to her family.
