Isabelle Strahan, the 19-year-old daughter of Good Morning America co-anchor Michael Strahan, has been bravely fighting brain cancer. Recently, her family revealed another unexpected twist in her cancer battle.
Isabelle is currently undergoing her first round of chemotherapy after having a large medulloblastoma in her cerebellum removed last October. She has been chronicling her journey through vlogs, sharing her experiences and emotions with her followers.
In a recent video, Isabelle explained that she had been in the hospital for three days due to high fevers. She mentioned that any fever above 100.4 requires immediate medical attention. Her hospital stay was tough, including undergoing a blood transfusion, an MRI, and having her chemo port cleaned. She expressed how painful the procedures were but was relieved to finally be discharged.
However, less than 12 hours later, Isabelle found herself back in the hospital. Jokingly, she said that she “catfished everyone” with a fever of 102. Despite feeling a bit better than the first time, she had a persistent headache and decided to go to the emergency room. Isabelle mentioned feeling weak and expressed how her condition had declined compared to just two days earlier when she was able to walk around the hospital.
To her dismay, Isabelle had to undergo an unexpected surgery to drain fluid from the back of her head that night. In the video, she shared her apprehension about the procedure and mentioned that it was not part of her original plan. She expressed her gratitude for the support she had received from her family, friends, and fans.
Michael Strahan, Isabelle’s father, spoke about her health challenges during an interview. He mentioned that her fever had been fluctuating for the past three days and that she had to be taken to the hospital. He hoped that she would be able to return home soon.
Michael acknowledged that the side effects of chemotherapy were challenging, but he had faith in Isabelle’s strength. He expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support they had received from people near and far.
We send our well wishes to Isabelle Strahan for a speedy recovery and offer our support to her and her family during this difficult time. Let’s come together and show our support for the Strahan family!
