Remembering Garrison Brown: A Heartbreaking Loss for the Brown Family

'Sister Wives' Janelle and Kody Brown's son Garrison dead at 25

It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of Garrison Brown’s passing. The 25-year-old son of Janelle and Kody Brown, stars of the popular TV show Sister Wives, has left us all mourning his untimely departure.

Janelle took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the heartbreaking news, expressing the immense sadness felt by herself and Kody: “Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy, Robert Garrison Brown. He brought so much joy to all those who knew him.”

Garrison was a shining light in the lives of his family and friends. His loss has left a tremendous void that seems unimaginable. Janelle and Kody kindly request privacy during this difficult time as they honor Garrison’s memory.

The Flagstaff Police Department confirmed the tragic incident, stating that officers responded to a report of a death inside a home. Garrison’s brother, Gabriel, discovered him deceased in what appears to be a tragic suicide. The authorities have found no evidence of foul play and are currently investigating the matter.

TLC, the network that airs Sister Wives, expressed their condolences in a heartfelt statement: “We are truly devastated to hear about the loss of Garrison Brown. Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences go out to the Brown family during this incredibly challenging time.”

Introduced to fans in 2010 through Sister Wives, Garrison was an integral part of the polygamist family led by Kody and Janelle. Alongside his siblings Madison, Logan, Gabriel, Hunter, and Savanah, Garrison faced the unique challenges and joys of their unconventional lifestyle. Janelle announced her separation from Kody in December 2022, following Christine’s departure. Meri also later left, leaving Robyn as Kody’s sole remaining wife.

In recent years, tensions have been evident between Kody and his children, particularly Gabriel and Garrison. Their strained relationship was exacerbated by Kody’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Gabriel expressed his frustration, sharing, “I was met with just a wall… And there was no line of dialogue. I think that that is what really drove the wedge between us.”

Janelle expressed concerns about her sons’ mental well-being. Gabriel’s deep emotions and Garrison’s noticeable change in demeanor troubled her. She said, “I have worried about my boys’ mental health. Gabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he’s also the kid who doesn’t say anything.” Janelle also noticed that Garrison seemed angrier and sadder, no longer the happy-go-lucky person he once was.

The passing of Garrison Brown is an immense loss for the Brown family and the broader Sister Wives community. We offer our deepest sympathies and support to the Browns during this painful time as they navigate this tragic loss.
