Kylie Kelce’s Super Bowl Superstition

Kylie Kelce 'Refused' to Watch the Super Bowl in Taylor Swift's VIP Suite

While her husband Jason and her in-laws enjoyed the Super Bowl in Taylor Swift’s VIP suite, Kylie Kelce chose to stay away from the special seating. In an Instagram Story, Kylie revealed that she refused to watch the game due to her strong superstition.

“On Sunday, my superstition kicked in hard,” Kylie shared. “I refused to watch the game, even on TV.” Instead, she spent most of the game watching her friend Sarah King’s reactions and staying connected. Kylie referred to King as the “real MVP” for keeping her updated.

Footage shared by King showed Kylie intentionally turning away from the Super Bowl LVIII coverage. “She wasn’t lyin’,” King declared. Kylie exclaimed, “Whoop! There it is.”

Kylie and Jason, who is the brother of Kansas City Chief’s tight end Travis, attended the game with Taylor Swift. Also present were Jason and Travis’ parents, Donna and Ed. The suite was filled with other celebrities like Ice Spice, Keleigh Teller, Lana Del Rey, and Blake Lively.

Kylie and Jason Kelce Support Travis

Before the Super Bowl, Kylie Kelce disclosed that their three daughters, Elliotte, Bennett, and Wyatt, would not be attending the game. Speaking to PEOPLE, she mentioned her preference to keep the girls at home whenever Jason isn’t playing.

“I think it’s a little bit controversial, but even during regular season games, I don’t take the girls to every game,” Kylie explained. She expressed concern about the overwhelming experience of a stadium packed with thousands of people and the added challenge of managing three young kids. “It can get hectic, it’s just a lot.”

Kylie emphasized that she carefully selects the public events the girls attend. “I love to do things that set them up for success. The thought of traveling cross-country with them while Jason’s going to be super busy, and putting them in a potentially stressful environment, isn’t ideal.”

She concluded by mentioning that they believe the girls will be happier watching their Uncle Travis on TV, as it will be easier and less overwhelming for them.
