One day, the teacher decided to have a fun activity in class and Little Johnny was all ears. The teacher said, “I’m going to describe an animal and you have to guess what it is.” Little Johnny eagerly nodded, ready to put his thinking cap on.
The teacher began, “It lives on a farm and gives milk.”
Without hesitation, Little Johnny exclaimed, “A cow!”
The teacher smiled and said, “That’s correct too, but I meant a goat.”
Undeterred, Little Johnny listened attentively as the teacher continued, “Now, what lives on a farm, has feathers, and lays eggs?”
Little Johnny thought for a moment and confidently responded, “A chicken!”
The teacher chuckled and said, “That’s correct too, but I meant a duck.”
Finding himself growing a little impatient, Little Johnny couldn’t resist but ask the teacher a question of his own. He inquired, “What goes into your mouth hard and comes out soft and wet?”
The teacher’s face turned slightly red as a sheepish smile appeared. Finally, she replied, “That’s correct too, but I meant chewing gum.”
Little Johnny’s cleverness and playful nature brought laughter to the classroom, making the lesson all the more enjoyable for everyone.
