If you’re as obsessed with the Great British Bake-Off as I am, then you’ll be thrilled to know that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds recently paid a visit to the famous baking tent. And let me tell you, jealousy is an understatement!
Rumors are swirling that the Hollywood power couple might be involved in the next celebrity edition of the show, which is currently being filmed and set to air on the U.K.’s Channel 4 next year. However, it could also just be a coincidence that Blake and Ryan were in the neighborhood while Ryan tends to business for his Welsh soccer team, Wrexham AFC.
Host Paul Hollywood couldn’t contain his excitement and took to social media to share a photo of himself with Blake Lively. He cheekily captioned it, “Sorry Prue, Blake has taken your seat… welcome to cake corner Blake.” Paul also gave a shoutout to Ryan Reynolds, adding a smiling emoji for good measure.
Ryan, not one to miss out on the fun, posted his own photo on Instagram, describing the experience as a “full and unconditional hug of pure serotonin.” He even tagged the show’s hosts, Prue and Paul, in his post.
While there’s a possibility that Blake or Ryan might be guest hosting instead of competing, it’s still exciting to see them in the famous tent. Previous celebrities like David Schwimmer have participated in the Celebrity Bake Off, so who knows what surprises await us in the upcoming season?
In the meantime, Blake Lively is taking a break from her film project, It Ends With Us, due to a writer’s strike. The production, which was being filmed in New Jersey, is currently on hold. Fans have been treated to snapshots from the set, showcasing Blake sporting a polarizing bright red hair color.
