It has been a tough couple of years for the Carter family. After Aaron Carter’s unexpected death last year, the family is now coming to terms with the death of another Carter sibling. Understandably, Nick Carter has been going through a lot of turmoil and has finally spoken up about the death of his sister.
Nick Carter has finally broken his silence after the death of his sister, Bobbie Jean Carter. She passed away on December 23 of last year, right before Christmas, at the age of 41 years old. The singer has been privately grieving for the last couple of weeks and now took to Instagram to express his deep sorrow at the loss of another sibling. His sister left behind an 8-year-old daughter, Bella. The cause of Bobbie’s death has still not been made public.
At the beginning of his post, he wrote seven words that express his anguish at the loss of his siblings, “It may take a lifetime to fully process,” he continued, “my family has endured over the years — most recently, with the sudden passing of our sister Bobbie Jean,” the Backstreet Boys singer wrote in his caption to a post featuring a throwback photo. “I am completely heartbroken.
In the end, he added, “Thank you for all your love and kind words. We are reminded again that life is precious, fleeting and to cherish the time we have with the ones we love. I know she is finally at peace with God. I love you BJ.”
A source close to the family shared with the media that Bobbie Jean’s family is ‘sharing’ the responsibility for little Bella. “Bobbie Jean Carter’s daughter, Bella, is in the care of her late father’s sister and staying with her after passing of her mother,” the source said, another source added, “The family is sharing responsibility helping with Bella and she is currently with her aunt.”
Bobbie Jean’s mother, Jane Carter was the one who confirmed her daughter’s death to the media. Jane has now lost three of her children. She lost her daughter, Leslie Carter, in 2012 and her son, Aaron Carter, in 2022. “I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,” she told the news. “When I am able to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then, I would request to be left to grieve in private.”
Aaron’s death is still fresh for the family. Just last year, Nick Carter talked about how he was coping with losing his brother. He had said, “It’s definitely been tough for me and my family,” adding, “It is still something that we are still processing, to this day. I don’t think we will ever really get over it. It’s been a lot for us, and we are finding ways to try and take a really tragic situation in our family and do something with it.”
Our hearts go out to the Carter family as they navigate through this difficult time. Let’s come together to support them in their grief. Please share this article to express your condolences and show your solidarity.
