Working as a handyman can be quite an interesting job. You never know what challenges you’ll face each day, and sometimes, you might even be in for a surprise or two. It’s crucial for repairmen to pay close attention to instructions provided to them. Ignoring them can lead to some serious trouble, as one repairman found out in this amusing story.
Laura’s dishwasher suddenly stopped working, so she quickly called a repairman. Since she had to go to work the next day, she left a note for the repairman with clear instructions. “I’ll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dishwasher, leave the bill on the counter, and I’ll mail you a check. Oh, and please don’t worry about my bulldog, Bob. He won’t bother you. But, I must emphasize, under NO circumstances should you talk to my parrot!”
The following day, the repairman arrived at Laura’s apartment and was greeted by the sight of the biggest and meanest-looking bulldog he had ever seen. However, true to Laura’s words, Bob just lay there on the carpet, calmly observing the repairman as he went about his work.
Unfortunately, the repairman’s composure was soon tested by the incessant yelling, cursing, and name-calling coming from the parrot. The feathered troublemaker seemed to take great pleasure in making the repairman’s job more challenging.
As the frustration grew, the repairman couldn’t contain himself any longer and erupted, “Shut up, you stupid, ugly bird!”
To his shock, the parrot responded, “Get him, Bob!”
This unexpected turn of events left the repairman regretting his outburst. It is a humorous reminder for all of us to listen to and follow instructions carefully. You never know what consequences your actions might bring about.
