Southern Fried Salmon Patties

  • 1 (14 3/4 ounce) can of salmon
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise

How To Make Southern Fried Salmon Patties

  1. Open the can of salmon and drain it thoroughly. Place the drained salmon in a mixing bowl and flake it evenly with a fork.
  2. Add the chopped onion, cornmeal, flour, mayonnaise, and egg to the bowl with the flaked salmon. Stir the ingredients until they are well blended.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties, making them about the size of an average burger or smaller.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon patties in the skillet until they are browned on each side. Remember to turn them once while frying.

Note: The addition of mayonnaise helps the patties hold their shape and keeps them from becoming too dry.

Enjoy your Southern Fried Salmon Patties, which are sure to satisfy your cravings for a delicious and hearty meal!
