James dreams of seeing his initiative, called Depher, become a nationwide movement. He wants to ensure that no elderly or vulnerable person goes without essential plumbing services. “My hope is to get Depher national, in every city and town,” he said.

Bruce Drury, a 63-year-old semi-retired plumber, shared his own experience of offering discounts or even providing his services for free to those who truly needed it. He commended James for setting a great example for their profession.
Plumbing is not an easy job, and it can be dangerous at times. But knowing that their services are genuinely appreciated by the elderly brings a sense of fulfillment to plumbers like James and Bruce.
