Congratulations are in order for Dolph Lundgren, the 65-year-old actor known for his iconic roles in “Rocky IV” and “Creed II.” Lundgren recently married his second wife, Norwegian personal trainer Emma Krokdal, in a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Mykonos, Greece.
The wedding, which took place on July 13, was filled with joy and happiness as the couple celebrated their love surrounded by close family and friends. But their journey to this special day was not without its challenges. The couple faced the difficulties of the pandemic and had to postpone their marriage plans several times. However, they finally felt that the time was right to celebrate their love and happiness in the enchanting land of Mykonos.
This is Lundgren’s second marriage, having been previously married to interior designer Anette Qviberg from 1994 to 2011. Lundgren and Qviberg are proud parents to two wonderful daughters, Ida, 27, and Greta, 21.
Ida took to Instagram to share glimpses of the romantic day and the joyous celebrations. Heartwarming images showed Dolph and Emma exchanging wedding rings and beaming with happiness. In one video, a small group of people danced and sang by an infinity pool, while fireworks lit up the night sky in celebration of the love between Dolph and Emma.
The engagement of Lundgren and Krokdal in June 2020 came as a surprise to many, mainly because of their significant 39-year age gap. Emma is 26 years old, making her even younger than Lundgren’s eldest daughter. However, age is no barrier when it comes to their love and admiration for each other.
Lundgren has openly expressed his admiration for Emma’s strength and unwavering support during his secret battle with cancer. He revealed that doctors found a tumor in his kidney eight years ago, which was successfully removed. However, scans in 2020 discovered more tumors. Throughout this challenging health journey, Emma stood by his side and provided him with immense support and care.
“[Emma] is very mature for her age, for sure,” Lundgren said. “She’s had an interesting life, going through a difficult divorce and dealing with things most young people her age don’t have to. And at the same time, I think I’m quite youthful.”
Lundgren’s film credits include iconic movies like “He-Man,” “The Punisher,” and “The Expendables.” Despite all his success, he cherishes his relationship with Emma and appreciates her love and angelic presence in his life.
