The first Black sorority just gained a very familiar face as a member.” They congratulated Zahara on joining the prestigious sorority, and mentioned other notable figures who have been a part of AKA, such as Vice President Kamala Harris and director Ava DuVernay.
During the initiation ceremony, Zahara proudly announces her name and where she is from. She identifies herself as an AKA sister and proudly stands as the seventh initiate in line.
