When heartthrob Chad Everett and Shelby Grant vowed to love and cherish each other until death do them part, they truly meant it. Born Raymon Lee Cramton, Chad Everett was originally a journeyman with Warner Bros. Willson renamed him Chad Everett and paved the way for his success in the entertainment industry. Everett made his debut in the 1960s detective TV series, Surfside 6, and went on to have roles in various other TV shows and movies, including The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote, Melrose Place, Cold Case, Supernatural, and Castle. 
But it was his role as the suave surgeon in perfectly fitted scrubs that solidified Chad Everett’s status as a Hollywood hunk. He was cast as Dr. Joe Gannon in the medical drama Medical Center, which aired from 1969 to 1976. Everett’s chiseled cheekbones and charismatic bedside manner made fans swoon. His portrayal of Dr. Gannon captivated audiences and earned him widespread recognition. 
Chad Everett first laid eyes on Shelby Grant at a race car event, where he was immediately drawn to her. It was love at first sight for the couple, and their connection only grew stronger when they saw each other again a few days later at the beach. During their courtship, Everett showered Grant with countless flowers, filling her balcony to the brim. They tied the knot in 1966 and together had two children, Shannon and Katherine (Kate).
Their love was undeniable, and every seven years, they renewed their marriage vows. Their daughters had the honor of officiating two of these renewals. Through thick and thin, Everett and Grant remained deeply in love and treated each other with respect. Their devotion to one another was evident in their dedication to their family.

He wanted them to witness firsthand the impact of substance abuse and the long journey to recovery. With the support of his loving family, Alcoholics Anonymous, and his faith, Everett fought tooth and nail to regain control of his life. 
Throughout his battle with alcoholism, Shelby Grant stood by Chad Everett’s side. She never wavered in her support and always reassured him that she was there for him. Her unwavering love and understanding were a beacon of hope for Everett during his darkest moments. Grant’s role as a pillar of strength in her husband’s life was truly remarkable.
Grant’s dedication to Everett extended even further when they faced a legal battle together. Sheila Scott claimed that Everett was the father of her son Dale, born in 1973. The relentless harassment from Scott, including death threats against Everett and his wife, took a toll on their family. However, justice prevailed, and Scott pled guilty to harassment. Despite her husband’s passing, Scott continued to attack Everett’s daughters on social media.
Chad Everett’s life came to an end in 2012 due to lung cancer. He was 75 years old. He left behind his two daughters and six grandchildren. But his legacy lives on, not only in his incredible acting career but also in the love and devotion he shared with his family.
