Throughout her life, Rosalynn had faced health challenges with unwavering strength and resilience. In 1977, she underwent surgery to remove a nonmalignant tumor found in one of her breasts. Thanks to the success of the surgery and her determined recovery, she regained her health and continued her remarkable journey.

Together with her husband, Jimmy Carter, she received the best possible care through hospice services. Though facing these difficult times, they found solace and happiness in each other’s presence.

As they participated in the peanut festival in their hometown, Rosalynn entered hospice care in the comfort of their home. The Carter family kindly requested privacy during this time, expressing their gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they have received.

In the words of their grandson, Jason Carter, “They’re in love, and I don’t think anyone gets more than that. I mean, it’s a perfect situation for this time in their lives.” Their enduring love and unity continue to inspire us all.
