BISCUITS WITH BUTTER

Butter Swim Biscuits (simple and quick!)
This easy homemade dish is AMAZING! These biscuits are soft and moist on the inside, with a flaky crust on the exterior, thanks to the butter. Add some jam or jelly and you’ve got yourself a match made in heaven.
Put the dough directly on top. Just slap it on there.

Using a spatula, uniformly flatten and spread the dough until it reaches the pan’s sides. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 450°F. You can almost hear the butter sizzle! Remove from the oven when the top is golden brown.

Ingredients: 9 Servings
2 & 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 & 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 pound of butter
4 teaspoon baking powder
4 teaspoon sugar 2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450°F.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients.

Then, add the buttermilk and combine all of the ingredients until a moist dough forms.

Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, then pour it into an 8 or 9 baking dish (make sure your pan isn’t too small or shallow, otherwise the butter will dribble out while baking).

Place the dough directly on top of the melted butter and spread it evenly across the pan with a spatula until it touches the sides.

Cut the unbaked dough into 9 evenish squares (it should be swimming in butter at this time).

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

You can eat it at breakfast, lunch, or dinner! These biscuits are an excellent accompaniment to any meal. I like to serve them with raspberry jam.
