2 eggs
13 cup soured cream
mashed 4 ripe bananas
12 teaspoon vanilla extract
GLAZE
14 cup brown sugar, packed 2 tbsp butter
2 teaspoons thick cream
1 pound powdered sugar
1 kosher salt teaspoon
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 350°F and butter a 9-inch baking dish.
In a medium-sized mixing basin, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Place aside.
In a large mixing basin, cream together the brown sugar and butter, then add the eggs one at a time.
To the sugar mixture, add the sour cream, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract and stir well.
Slowly blend the dry and wet ingredients until just incorporated. Avoid overmixing.
Transfer batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Make the glaze while the bread is cooling.
Brown sugar and butter in a small saucepan, bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook for 1 minute, or until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Mix in the powdered sugar and salt until combined.
Allow 5 minutes for the glaze to cool before pouring it over the bread.
