BISCUITS WITH BUTTER

This easy homemade dish is AMAZING! Thanks to the butter, these biscuits are soft and moist inside, with a flaky crust on the exterior. Add some jam or jelly, and you’ve got a match made in heaven.

Ingredients
2 1 pound all-purpose flour
2 quarts buttermilk
1 pound of butter
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoon salt
Making Butter Swim Biscuits
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients.
Then, add the buttermilk and mix all ingredients until a moist dough forms.
Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, then pour it into an 8 or 9-baking dish (make sure your pan isn’t too small or shallow. Otherwise the butter will dribble out while baking).
Place the dough directly on top of the melted butter and spread it evenly across the pan with a spatula until it touches the sides.
Cut the unbaked dough into 9 evenish squares (it should be swimming in butter at this time).
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
You can eat it at breakfast, lunch, or dinner! These biscuits are an excellent accompaniment to any meal. I like to serve them with raspberry jam.
