This cabbage soup dish accomplishes the unthinkable: it uses a whole head of cabbage in one sitting!
Almost every time I buy cabbage, I eat it for weeks, putting some in a slaw, some in a bowl, more in a taco, and so on. So I was surprised the first time I cooked this cabbage soup dish.
I started with half of my cabbage. It melted into the soup with the aromatic veggies and herbs as it wilted. I didn’t want it to go away – after all, I was making cabbage soup – so I added extra. Before I knew it, every last ounce of my cabbage had been thrown into the kettle!
One large cabbage is used in this recipe.
2 sliced tiny onions
2 cans of stewed tomatoes.
1 package Lipton Onion Soup Combine any flavor.
1 large celery cut very small.
seasoned ground beef
