BARRED CHERRY

The following are the ingredients for the bars:

1 1/2 cups melted butter 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 3 cup
5 massive eggs 1.5 teaspoon salt
5 1/2 cups normal flour 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cans (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
To make the glazing, follow these steps:

1 cup granulated sugar
three tbsp milk

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Aluminum foil should be used to line a jelly roll pan (1217). Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Place aside. Cream the butter and sugar in the bowl of your stand mixer for around 1-2 minutes. Stir in the salt, eggs, vanilla, and almond flavorings until thoroughly integrated.

Mix in the flour and baking powder until just mixed. 1 3/4 cup dough should be set aside. Spread/press the remaining dough into the baking pan. Serve with cherry pie filling on top. Over the cherry filling, scatter the remaining batter into small pieces. Preheat the oven to 50-60 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and cool thoroughly on a wire rack. Prepare the glaze once the cake has cooled. Drizzle over the bars after whisking the confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth. Serve cut into 35 squares.
