For the first time, Priscilla Presley talks about the heartbreaking death of her daughter Lisa Marie.

Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis Presley’s only child, died on Thursday, a family official announced. She was born in the year 1954.

Priscilla Presley said in a statement to the Associated Press, “It is with a heavy heart that I must convey the heartbreaking news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.” She was the most devoted, strong, and loving woman I’d ever known.

According to Priscilla Presley’s spokeswoman Sam Mast, the Presley family is “shocked and heartbroken” by the unexpected death of their beloved Lisa Marie.

According to Mast, they appreciate everyone’s love, support, and prayers and request privacy during this tremendously difficult time.

Priscilla Presley announced on social media early Thursday that her daughter had been brought to the hospital.

“My dear daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital,” Priscilla Presley said before her daughter’s death was made public. “She’s currently receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your thoughts and prayers. We request privacy because we are aware of prayers worldwide.”

Lisa Marie Presley applauded Austin Butler’s performance as Elvis Presley in the Baz Luhrmann-directed biopic “Elvis” as best actor in a drama film at the 80th Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday in Beverly Hills, California. Her mother and she attended the occasion.

The singer-songwriter is Priscilla Presley, an entrepreneur and actress, and Elvis Presley, a singer-actor. Her father’s estate was distributed to her when she reached 25 in 1993.

Lisa Marie Presley has been married four times, most recently to actor Nicolas Cage from 2002 to 2004 and too late to music superstar Michael Jackson from 1994 to 1996.

In 1988, she married musician Danny Keough; they had a daughter named Riley and a son named Benjamin, both of whom died. Benjamin, 27, committed suicide in July 2020.

Lisa Marie Presley issued an update on her post-death son’s survival in the midst of the hype around Baz Luhrmann’s film last year.

“I am and will always be grieving for the loss of my child,” she wrote.

Navigating this terrible misery has devoured me whole, completely wrecked me, and shattered my heart and soul to virtually nothing.”

Riley Keough is a well-known actress who recently appeared in the film “Zola.” She made her directorial debut in the 2022 film “War Pony,” which won the Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

Michael Lockwood married Lisa Marie Presley in 2006. Her longest marriage ended in divorce in July 2021. Harper and Finley, the former couple’s twin girls, are two of the couple’s offspring.

In 2003, she released the album “To Whom It May Concern,” which includes the song “Savior,” which she co-wrote with Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins. She also released two additional albums, “What Now?” in 2005 and “Storm & Grace?” in 2012.
