Mick Jagger is overcome with tears.

Jeff Beck, the Yardbirds’ guitarist, died not long ago, and the entire music community grieves.

The deceased musician’s family stated on Wednesday that bacterial meningitis was the cause of the musician’s death the day before. The announcement was made public on Wednesday. He was 78.

His family issued a statement saying, “On behalf of his family, it is with deep and profound regret that we relay the news of Jeff Beck’s passing,” according to the statement. “Following an unexpected struggle with bacterial meningitis, he succumbed to his disease and passed away yesterday without any difficulty or agony,” his family said. His family wants privacy during this terrible moment as they try to accept their loved one’s death.

The news of Beck’s passing led many of his old friends and business colleagues, including former Yardbirds bandmate Jimmy Page, to share their recollections of him with the public. After joining the English rock band as Page’s replacement in 1965, he eventually became the band’s guitarist for Eric Clapton the following year.

“The Warrior of the Six Strings is no longer here to be revered for the spell he could cast on the emotions of ordinary people. He was one of the greatest. Jeff’s channeling abilities allow him to access music from other dimensions. His method is unique. He looks to have an unlimited capacity for creation. Jeff, I’m sure I speak for all your many other fans when I say I’ll miss you tremendously. “May you finally find the peace you dearly deserve, Jeff Beck.”

She’s the Boss was Mick Jagger’s debut solo album, released in 1985. Beck was requested to play the lead guitar on the album. In response to Beck’s death, Jagger tweeted, “We have lost a wonderful man and one of the best guitar players in the world.”

He said that everyone would miss him horribly after he died.
