Ozzy Osbourne and his health issues

Ozzy Osbourne was spotted grocery shopping in Los Angeles just days after his wife Sharon was rushed to the hospital for a medical emergency.

This week, Ozzy Osbourne was caught in Los Angeles using a walking stick to get groceries. He appeared to be quite frail. After a fall in 2019 aggravated an existing neck issue, the Black Sabbath leader now walks with the assistance of a walking stick.

Ozzy Osbourne, 74, was photographed shopping without his wife Sharon, 70, who had just been released from the hospital after suffering a medical emergency while watching a supernatural television show.

The Black Sabbath frontman appeared frail as he picked up groceries while leaning on his walking stick or the cart itself.

On Monday, Ozzy was seen shopping for groceries at Erewhon Market in Los Angeles. He was dressed in a grey tartan jacket and black sweatpants.

This comes after Ozzy recently stated that he “can’t walk much now” due to a fall in 2019 that aggravated a neck injury caused by a quad bike accident in 2003.

Ozzy revealed his Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2020, more than a year after worsening the neck ailment that is currently causing him serious movement issues.

On Monday, Ozzy Osbourne was sighted at Erewhon Market in Los Angeles, where he was supported by a man clinging onto the cart for stability. After his wife Sharon was given the all-clear to leave the hospital, the singer wandered around the luxury supermarket to stock up on groceries.

Sharon has already stepped out, assuring her Instagram followers that she is “back home and doing great” while uploading a beautiful holiday photo with her dog.

The hitmaker was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003, and in 2019, he suffered a terrible fall that compounded an existing neck injury from a quad bike accident in 2003. Parkinson’s disease is a condition in which regions of the brain gradually degrade over time, according to the NHS. The most typical symptoms are delayed movement, tight or inflexible muscles, and excessive shaking in certain body areas.

Ozzy Osbourne’s quad bike accident on his English rural estate in 2001, in which he cracked eight ribs and a neck vertebra, resulted in nerve damage that was reactivated by a fall in 2019. The actor was left with 15 screws in his back, nerve pain in his neck, back, shoulders, and arms, and a fear of receiving “bolts in his neck” after spinal surgery.

Ozzy Osbourne returned to the stage in August, just two months after undergoing “life-altering surgery,” for the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony in Birmingham, his birthplace. Ozzy told The Sun earlier this month that he was told he would be permanently handicapped after his first spinal surgery in 2019.

Ozzy Osbourne says he’d like to keep traveling but has major mobility issues. “I want to be carrying it out,” he remarked recently. “This procedure had to be done. You’ve got no idea. The truth is that I can still think, be creative, and sing, but I can’t walk very far.”

“You have no idea how irritating life has gotten. It’s amazing how life moves forward and how one terrible decision may ruin everything for a long time. I’ve never felt so ill in my life. That doctor warned me that I’d be paralyzed from the neck down if I didn’t receive the treatment.”
