In a supermarket, an 82-year-old woman was caught shoplifting.

When an elderly woman in need went shopping without paying, the store manager in Ferentino made a beautiful and bold move in her direction, saying, “I gave her everything, she may have been my mother.”

A elderly citizen was caught robbing the Se Bon grocery on Via Casilina in Ferentino, Frosinone. “Please don’t call the cops; I don’t want my grandchildren to know,” she implored the owner, who agreed.

Il Messaggero narrates the story of an episode in which the main character is one of many people who are on the verge of going bankrupt and will not be able to make it until the end of the month owing to price rises.

Grandma, 82, was starving but unable to go shopping due to rent and other obligations. She was a widow on a fixed income. She is unable to solicit assistance from the children because they are experiencing financial troubles and she does not want to bother them.

Francesco Sciucco, the store manager, ended the call to 112 and handed her the goods—everything she had put in the cart, down to the last cent. He mentioned the possibility that it was his mother, therefore he was unable to react otherwise.

The businessman performed a lovely and admirable gesture, but he did not want to be applauded for it because he had already made many sacrifices in his life and could not turn away from the pain of others. “Come get what you need whenever you want; a few euros don’t matter much to me,” he added.

The grocery manager gives her some money because she needs it to go shopping.

At midday, the woman went to the supermarket and purchased bread, salami, and canned tuna. She attempted to leave without using the checkout lines by concealing the things in her bag.

The workers urged her to open the bag and warned her that if they had missed the scene, they would have alerted the carabinieri. When the other customers in the supermarket realized what was going on, they went over to the exit to investigate.

“I don’t want my grandchildren to know that their grandmother is a thief,” the elderly woman said as the staff prepared to dial 112. The owner allowed her to return home once he gave her everything she had taken.
